Jan 24, 2020 – Christian Veterinary Missions

I missed a day again. I travelled yesterday and today to speak at a conference known as Real Life Real Impact. It is a gathering of Christian Veterinary Professionals and Veterinary Students to encourage, grow together, and mentor one another in life.

There are veterinarians here who have served in places like Ethiopia, Mozambique (did you know their primary language is Portuguese?), Mongolia, and many more. These veterinarians are professors, priests, and practitioners.

If you are looking for a good book to read, here is a recommendation for you:

Dr Julie Henderson and her husband spent 5 years as missionaries in Mozambique. Her book is available on Amazon.

A Beautiful Season: Our Journey of Faith from Texas to Mozambique https://www.amazon.com/dp/1732497508/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CnglEbXZ543GD

In Exodus, God outlines his plans for Moses. He tells Moses to go back to Egypt. Moses makes excuse after excuse. God counters every excuse. Then God finally just tells him to GO.

He nearly kills Moses over his disobedience. Moses’ wife saves his life by pleading with God for his life. (Men need a strong woman in their lives.)

Moses finally goes to find Aaron and goes back to Egypt.

The plagues fall on the Egyptians. God needs to display his power to both the Egyptians and the Israelites to cement his authority and sovereignty in their lives.

I pray that you find a way to unplug and be refreshed in friendship, fellowship, and family time this weekend.
