Calf Breaking Halter

I found this neat halter at a show trailer yesterday. Rope halters are the standard for teaching a calf to lead and tie. The one downside to a traditional halter is that once the chin tightens, it stays tight even when the calf gives to pressure.

This halter provides immediate reward when the calf walks forward. That figure 8 ring gives just enough to remove pressure but not go totally slack.

If you haven’t tried one, you should check it out. They only cost around $10. Money well spent in my book.
