It’s gnat season!!
Protect your horses with fly masks or fans in their stalls.
Insect bite hypersensitivity will cause horses to rub ears, making them sore for the bridle or halter. It will also cause them to rub out manes and tails from itching.
Be sure any chickens or other fowl are under a shed with a fan while the gnats are bad.
Gnats will kill chickens by blocking their nares and causing them to suffocate.
A roof and/or a fan are your best defenses against death loss due to gnats in your flock.
